In Massachusetts, we have four towns named after points on the compass: Northboro, Southboro, Westboro, and Boxboro. So, what to do in Boxtown? Not a lot!

Those of you with small children may want to visit the Discovery Museum.

For history buffs, the Concord Museum and Lexington Battle Green are nearby. You can also visit the Isaac Davis Monument in Acton (“I haven’t a man that is afraid to go”).

Also nearby is Walden Pond.

In the fall, you can’t walk five feet without tripping over an apple orchard. The closest to our house is Shelburne Farm, but Honey Pot Hill is nearby and a little more lively.

If you’re interested in visiting Boston, the city is easily accessible via the MBTA Commuter rail from the West Acton station on the Fitchburg Line.

Getting Here

The hotel is immediately off of 495. Take exit 75 for MA-111S toward Boxborough.

If you’re coming from Logan Airport, renting a car might be your best bet. A scheduled standard Lyft is a little over $100. If you prefer to take the commuter rail from North Station to South Acton, get in touch and we can arrange to drop you off and pick you up at the station.

Our house is less than a 10 minute drive from the hotel.
